Atmospheric

October 1-8, 2026

Atmospheric showcases a strange, beautiful phenomenon of two artists, once strangers, living on opposite sides of the world, arriving organically at similar sensibilities and a visual language to describe them. It features Noémie Kirscher, an artist from Saint Barthélemy who currently lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden, and Odette Steinert, an artist born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Both artists capture a certain dreamlike atmosphere through their distorted painting methods. One fragmenting memory and place, the other translating the internal to external.

Noémie Kirscher (b. 2001) lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work is rooted in her experience of growing up on Saint Barthélemy, a small island in the French Caribbean. The paintings emerge from fragments of childhood memories and colors drawn from oxidised patterns and surfaces encountered in daily life. These landscapes are neither fully real nor fully imagined.

Odette Steinert (b. 1998) is a Brooklyn based artist. She uses painting as a way to externally think about herself, about the body, and all of the “discomfort, beauty, heaviness and lightness it contains.” Drawing inspiration from Italian Medieval figure painting and photographers Francesca Woodman and Juliet Margaret Cameron, Steinert creates large scale, dreamlike figure paintings.

Hindsight

August 13-27, 2026

Friends old and new came together to create ‘Hindsight,’ a dream world vibrant with color, texture, and whimsy. Sand-casted rabbit tokens, surreal domestic landscapes, handmade Americana garments, and hypnotic ink-washed paintings harmonize with one another, finding familiarity through shared craftsmanship, pattern, and color.

Devon Reina (b. 1996) is a Brooklyn, New York-based artist and designer. Devon's cross-disciplinary background inspires his curiosity for materiality and process. His paintings celebrate a range of versatile media, from thick paint impastos, to expressive ink washes and delicate wax pastel line-work. Across his various bodies of work, Devon is interested in how marks of color can interact with each other to suggest the illusion of depth, movement, or direction.

Shawnee Potts (b. 1994) is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work translates dreams and tales by way of symbolism and tactility. In this new body of work, Shawnee's singular technique of needlepoint embroidery is applied to sculpture, providing physicality to her previously wall-mounted process. Built within these objects ranging from needlepoint embroidery to sand-casted sculptures, Shawnee's intimate narration mirrors dreams and experiences.

Kaelee Helms (b. 1996) is a Brooklyn-based artist and interior designer. By way of her relationship to architecture, Kaelee's oil paintings offer surreal glances at domestic landscapes. Her language consisting of objects such as utensils, furniture, and window panes tells obscure narratives within the blurred context of a space. In her recent application of designing and painting a multi-panel room-divider, Kaelee introduces her two practices in the most direct manner possible, offering the experience of a painting and designed space simultaneously.

Derek Benedict (b. 1995) is a Brooklyn-based designer working through Forrest Commons, a practice exploring identity and craft through garments. Over time and through wear, each piece is meant to soften into something familiar, folding into the wearer's own sense of self. Classic textures, checkered shirting and washed denim, are reconsidered in updated form and proportion. Details and color are chosen with care to resist the flatness of mass appeal, offering instead a piece that settles into something personal and close to the wearer.
